Google has determined that all advertisers using third party tracking numbers (like AdFeederConverts, MediaHawk, WildJar etc) need to verify ownership of the tracking number. This is done through a Google web platform called Google Search Console.
Log in to Google Search Console
First, you need to be logged into the Google account that is the Owner of the website property in Google Search Console. Navigate to the Google Search Console homepage.
- Go to: https://search.google.com/search-console/
- Sign in with your Google account.
If you manage multiple websites, make sure you’ve selected the correct one from the drop-down menu at the top-left of the page.
Navigate to “Users and permissions”
The next step is to find the user management settings.
- In the menu on the left-hand side of the screen, scroll down and click on Settings ⚙️.
- In the settings panel that appears, click on Users and permissions.
Users And Permissions
This will take you to a page that lists all the current users who have access to your Google Search Console property.
Add the New User
Now you can add the email address for the person or company you want to grant access to.
- On the “Users and permissions” page, click the blue Add user button in the top-right corner.
- A small pop-up window will appear. In the “Email address” field, enter the email address: ppcclientmanager@gmail.com
- In the “Permission” dropdown menu, select Owner.
- Click the Add button to finish
This will give the new user “Delegated Owner” status. This means they’ll have the same full control as a “Verified Owner” but won’t be able to add or remove other owners. Granting this level of access is necessary to allow for the linking of Google Ads and Search Console accounts.
