Welcome to AdFeeder’s web Wednesdays, your weekly dose of the latest news and stories that have caught our eye. From technology news to the latest vehicle releases and everything in between, we aim to bring you a quick run down of what you need to know each week.

This week’s Web Wednesdays is a good one – If you’re looking for the ultimate garage ornament, or want to know more about an app that will change car ownership forever, you’d better start scrolling!

New myAutomate app simplifies car ownership

This innovative new mobility app allows motorists to access all the information they need to make driving simpler and more cost effective. Receive alerts for due dates on your MOT, Tax or insurance, even find the cheapest fuel station near you!

The enhanced functionality also caters for the growing number of electric vehicle and plug-in hybrid drivers. The ‘myAutomate’ app already lists more than 12,000 available charging sites with over 31,000 connectors for owners to locate within the app and more are being added on a daily basis.

“myAutomate is the motorist’s daily companion when it comes to saving money and time, and bringing a new level of convenience to everyday driving. Whether your vehicle is for private or business use, it’s an incredibly intuitive and easily accessible way to reduce the costs associated with owning and running a car or van.” – Andrew Watson, Co-founder and Managing Director.

Hegarty Auctioneers reveal best performing cars

One of the world’s biggest car auction houses has released a list of vehicles that have wildly outperformed their auction estimates.

Some examples reached values of over 155% of their original estimated values, showing the demand for both classics and future classics within the car world. Amongst the list was a 1972 Bentley Corniche sold by Silverstone Auctions in July. It both exceeded its generous £80,000 – £90,000 estimate and the Hagerty Price Guide valuation, selling for more than two and a half times the £62,100 value and went for a staggering £158,625!

Facebook to remove ‘Our Story’ section

Facebook is alerting page owners to a coming update which will see the removal of the ‘Our Story’ section from your page presentation options. It will now show under ‘Additional Information’ section instead, which will alter how that extra information is presented on your page. The ‘page story’ section was added back in 2017 as a means to help brands provide more background on their business intentions, in order to better connect with page visitors.
